Forty Winks

Regretfully we were looking forward to watching the cricket on arrival on SABC but understandably the resort does not subscribe anymore to Multichoice. Everything else was splendid and lovely.

Beautiful scenery, clean and comfortable cottage, caters for everything you need

Friendly and hospitable hosts. Stunning location. Incredible views. Lots to see on the farm - horses, tractors, swings and other beautiful garden decor. We were able to roam freely. Very well equipped house with the right cutlery, appliances and furniture. No minimum stay requirement which was ideal for our one night carry over. Beautifully decorated house and garden. Catered well for kids and kid friendly, lots to do on the property. Amazing handmade soaps. We so appreciated the milk and rusks.

We were unable to get down to the dams without a 4x4 or walking quite a distance with a very steep incline. The walking trails were generally quite difficult and not fit for the average unfit or pregnant person or with kids. We would have loved to have been able to explore the grounds more easily. The main gate was not motorised so we had to open it manually. Ceiling fans would be better than the floor fan. Suggest sanitary bags for non-flushable items. Water pressure a little low. Other than that, incredible stay! Beautiful property and peaceful country home.
