Pink House - Tabua (Ribeira Brava)

The property presents more favorably in person than depicted in photographs. It features one en-suite bathroom and two additional shared bathrooms serving the remaining three bedrooms. The kitchen is exceptionally well-appointed, including a comprehensive array of amenities such as wine openers, blenders, juicers, and various types of glassware. A generous supply of fresh towels was provided; however, shower gels and similar toiletries were not included. The location is ideal, offering a mere 10-minute walk to a picturesque rocky beach or a 5-minute drive to a supermarket. Furthermore, it is conveniently situated just a 1-minute drive from the motorway, which provides access to the entire island, with Ribeira Brava serving as a central hub. The residence maintained a high standard of cleanliness. Host and stuff were professional and quick to respond.

Property was not clean. There was hair in the bathroom shower. No soap in any of the bathrooms. A lot of ants in the kitchen!!

The villa was more beautiful than in the photo. It is very convenient that there are several bathrooms. The location is good, you can quickly get to the establishments. The supermarket is only by taxi, but it is quite close and inexpensive. It is also quite accessible to the airport. The villa had a hair dryer, lots of towels and extra blankets. Gorgeous view from the balcony. As a compliment, we were given a bottle of wine.

We did not receive answers to our questions until check-in. The level of communication leaves much to be desired. Also, the clothes dryer did not work in the villa (it turns on, but does not dry things). However, during sunny weather, we managed to dry clothes on the balcony. Almost every day on the territory of the villa (outside) there were some workers who did not speak English. This created noticeable discomfort. Wi-Fi did not work in all rooms.

It was quiet .it was a big confortable house. It was clean.

Travel from the airport to the house was really easy (hired car), and prior to our arrival the host and owner connected me for when there would be ready for us to check. With the house having off-street parking and be close to Madeira's highway network, the location was great for exploring the Island as well as the house being relatively close by a local super market and restaurants in Ribeira Brava.

Unfortunately a major let down for us was that after the first day the internet went down and when I contacted the host he didn't respond until after I contacted the owner, even then when they had someone come around to "fix" the issue ( which there didn't) I then contacted the host again in which he failed to respond again. Even though on our last day he did send me a goodbye message saying he hoped we enjoyed our stay. Felt like a copy and paste message. A few minor issues for us were as follows: 1. A small issue with ants but there were supplies to deal with that in the storage room. 2. Other than the en-suite shower room the one other shower room and toilet had really awkward locks which became easily stuck when lock. (any child or frail/weaker person would struggle to unlock them). 3. Said en-suite has a slight drainage issue with its shower drain being either overwhelmed or easily clogged, so if you like a longer shower or you know someone whose hair tends to clogs things be careful. 4. lastly, I don't know if this is a common practice but the kitchen not having a small stock of seasoning (i.e salt, pepper etc.) or oils (cooking or seasoning) made it quite difficult to on how we wanted to use the kitchen as we didn't want buy these items since who uses things like these in a week and we didn't want to waste such things by throwing them away. Or another thought being that we weren't sure if it would frown upon if we left them there.
