Beautiful and really well appointed. The host was super helpful.

It could do with a microwave oven as the gas is difficult to use. Also, we asked for a vegetarian breakfast, it could be more varied

Some few old/vintage traditional items. It's a shame that those items were unkempt, unmaintained, polished and refurbished properly for their age.

The owner/administrator did not even come to see us and show us the house that we paid for in advance. Everything was via phone/mobile phone. The facilities on the Booking webpage the owner of the Casa sub Magrin offer: " Facilities - Private bathroom ....", it is not specified that the private bathroom is outside, at 1-1.5m away from that 2 rooms and, the heating is done by a 220V heater and requires at least 3 hours to heat up go to the toilet where it was minus 3 degrees Celsius outside. When we entered the house, it was warm, but there was also a lot of smoke. We had to leave the door open so we could get our luggage from the car. After two hours it got cold in the room and I had to make the fire in the stove. The problem was that it took me more than 30 minutes to light the fire because the wood did not catch fire even though I used lighters, medical spirit, and toilet paper. The fire and heat came with a lot of smoke in the room and the old terracotta stove did not heat up as we would have expected. After 12 hours of driving, of which 4 hours through a very thick fog, we wanted to take a shower but, because it was too cold in the bathroom, we did not. We turned on that electric heater but, after 4 hours, we barely managed to go to the toilet to wee and poo. Maybe during the summer this property received guests and they gave good reviews because being an old house it keeps the rooms cool but, for the cold winter when on the night are -3 degrees Celsius outside and you must make a fire in the stoves, this property cannot receive guests because it was not prepared for such a thing.
