lovely little cottage with a great locaion

The cottage is described well on the website, although the entry archway is quite tight and great care is required if you drive a biggish car. We enjoyed using the kitchen, dining area and lounge. The TV is good, although we didn't watch much of that as there is so much to do in the lovely town and surrounding countryside. Walks from Kirkby are safe and very interesting including Devil's Bridge and the River Lune.

The only things we thought could be improved are the bed linen and the mattresses which, in our opinion (four of us in the party), are ready for a bit of updating. However, everything was very clean. Also having to bring our own bath towels was unusual and the only stay we have ever had to do so. Otherwise the bedrooms are well laid out and spacious. Again, TV's are in the bedrooms but we didn't use them.

Far too expensive. Steps extremely steep to the first bedroom. Unsuitable for my 86 year old mother. No communication about that before we arrived even though owner knew I was bringing my elderly mother

Good location in the heart of the village

Lovely cottage with all the home comforts you could wish for. Kitchen very well equipped. Shower super. Jackie is an excellent host.

Beautiful courtyard and so tastefully decorated. Great location for pubs and restaurants.

Only drawback was the parking down the archway near busy corner with lots of traffic. Take care when negotiating the archway as our Citreon just got through
