Loved the isolation, the incredible views, surrounded by nature. This isn't a 5 star hotel and shouldn't be booked if you are expecting luxury. What you do get is an honest property for the location. Surrounded by farming it comes with the honesty and love of the sicillian family that runs it. It is a comfortable rural property with all the basics you need for a short stay. We can't comment on cooking facilities as we ate cold foods..it was too hot for anything else. Beds are really comfy. Erma and her husband were absolutely lovely and brought organic treats for us. Loved it!!!!!!

The electric gates were a bit tricky to manage but Erma was so responsive to messages this wasn't a real issue.

Very helpful owner. Lovely area. Nice garden. Fresh fruit etc to pick. Lovely fire for a cold evening. All you need to be able to cook at home. We had a couple of minor issues whilst staying and they were remedied very rapidly. Couldn't fault our host or her hospitality. Would definitely recommend I'm sure it would be amazing for a summer vacation as it was lovely in February.

Sofa could be a bit more comfy but that's a minor issue. An electric kettle would be lovely for us tea drinkers,again didn't spoil the experience.

In wintertime the house is rather cold. Only the sleepingroom is warm enough. The fireplace in the livingroom is very pleasent but there is warm enough only close to the fire. It could be a problem for elderly or very sensitive people. But the host is so warm, helpful and kind that it makes up for all temporary shortcomings!

The location was excellent! The house is surrounded by countryside, but only 5 miles from Piazza Armerina for shopping. We loved the location and the fruit and vegetables that are grown on site, including the prickly pears 🍐! Our hosts were friendly and helpful and provided a great breakfast for a small additional fee. Would strongly recommend this place for travellers that want a peaceful, relaxing holiday with great hosts.
