Luca ist wirklich ein perfekter Gastgeber. Er hat uns mit besonderer Gastfreundschaft, einem köstlichen Abendessen und vielen nützlichen Tipps überrascht. Außerdem waren auch Brot, Butter, Marmelade, Kaffee, Tee, Obst, Schinken, Getränke etc. im Haus. Casa Lucas ist ausgezeichnet ausgestattet, hat eine sehr gute Lage in den Bergen zum Wandern und Geschäfte sind in der Nähe sehr gut erreichbar.

Ein wunderschönes sehr ruhig gelegenes Haus auf einem großen Grundstück mit Blick auf den Ort und die Berge. Es ist sehr gepflegt, bestens und liebevoll ausgestattet mit hochwertigen Möbeln. Lucas hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Lucas hat uns mit vielen Lebensmitteln, Getränken, Wein, Brötchen, Toastbrot, Kaffee, Tee und mit einem riesigen Obstkorb (sogar mit frischen Erdbeeren) versorgt. Das haben wir in der Form noch nie erlebt, alles sehr lecker. Wir haben uns in dem gemütlichen Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Da es leider während unseres Aufenthaltes viel regnete, haben wir das wohnliche und gemütliche Haus besonders geschätzt. Wir konnten leider nicht draußen sitzen wegen des schlechten Wetters. San Mateo ist ein schöner Ort mitten auf der Insel in phantastischer Lage mit einer perfekten Infrastruktur und einer hervorragenden Busverbindung. Es ist ein perfekter Ausgangsort für Wanderungen. Lieber Lucas, nochmals vielen lieben Dank für Deine außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Loved the villa & the location was great for us as we were walking in the mountains. The barbeque, games, music room was very well kitted out & we used the barbeque a number of times. The main house was very comfortable, very well finished. Luca was very friendly & helpful and had stocked the fridge with cold meats, cheeses, bread, fruit, tea & coffee before we arrived.

The shower in the main bathroom was a little small, it included a seat & additional massage jets.

Ist impression is a 'wow' lovely looking house in spacious plot. Lots of space inside and quality furniture/fittings. Several A/C units meant the house was warm (we visited in winter and the weather was chilly at this altitude - around 800m) However, no heating in the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels provided. Huge 'party barn' would be a great asset in warmer weather but too cold in the winter. Nice position just outside the town of San Mateo where there are plenty of amenities and a great market at weekends. Lucas provided a very good cooked meal for us on arrival though there was way too much food for two people. Fridge was well stocked and 2 bottles of local wine were appreciated. However, much of the fruit and veg went off before we could eat it (we suspect some of it had been there for a while).

We felt the house was not exactly as described on booking.com. No indoor pool, just an outdoor unheated (and full of dead insects)plunge pool. 'Hot tub' is actually an indoor spa bath. Description states 3 bathrooms, however one is actually in the unheated party barn some 150 feet across the courtyard - this was the only walk in shower and the best of the three! In fact our main complaint is with the 2 indoor bathrooms. One was a tiny cubicle - we are not large people but we could not turn round in it. The other was a huge spa bath that had no overhead shower. Both are rather tired and could do with updating. Basically the bathrooms let the rest of the house down. This should be fabulous and could be, with a bit of improvement

Everything was great - the house, the space, the weather, the host, the location had the privacy we wanted, about an hour away from the city centre - highly recommend it.

Everything! The home is beautiful and has everything you need. The host is amazing too! He’s very receptive, helpful and so thoughtful. He provided several drinks, fruits, snacks, bread, lunch meat etc. We felt very spoiled and welcomed. The location is amazing too. Centrally located so going anywhere on the island is within a reasonable distance. The home is very private, safe and has great views. I really can’t say enough positive things about this home and host. We have traveled to several countries and stayed in many places and this is by far the best!

Very nice and clean house. We felt very welcome from the beginning. The owner is very friendly. It is quiet location, but within walking distance from the town centre with several grocery shops and restaurants. The region is very beautiful to hike and discover the charming towns.
