Ashworth Lodge with Hot Tub

Lodge lovely and location nice and quiet

Clearly well looked after by its owners It felt warm and cosy The hot tub was a premium one, not a basic style

Some decor felt very personal but wasn’t an issue

The setting is beautiful. Our quality of fittings in our second lodge was much better than in Ashworth. The kitchen was was well equipped however there was only one sharp knife and that was a bread knife

We didn’t stay in Ashworth Lodge as there was a fault with the boiler and no hot water. When I asked to be moved that was organised but it wasn’t offered. The beds were terrible…the mattress required a pillow under it to fill the hole.

The lodge was very clean and well presented. The onsite restaurant was very good for casual dining. Good location, York, Wetherby, Bridlington and Hull, all within easy reach ( > 1 hour )

The parasol on the deck was badly corroded and leaning at a dangerous angle. We had to secure it with a bungee cord. It should be replaced immediately.
