East End House

The space was beautiful and perfect for our stay!

Shower heads were slightly limescaled up and there was some dust in higher places

A bit cold downstairs, it’s a big open room so difficult to heat I expect

Great communication from owners and easy to access

Our 5th stay at this property with same group of friends Us and our group love the houses and location due to great restaurants and the quirky bars We normally stay in December but change this time We had another great stay Thanks guys

Excellent location next to Abbey Park and easy walk into the town. Fabulous downstairs space, all open plan, which was brilliant for 5 friends meeting up for a weekend. Plenty of bedrooms and toilets. Kitchen had all the amenities & the extra fridge was very useful. Off road parking for all of us and lovely to stay so close to the town.

Only slight downside was the cleanliness. The downstairs rug hadn’t been vacuumed (crumbs on the carpet) & we didn’t use the main shower as the head of the shower was very dirty. Maybe just needs a limescale clean or replacing but a bit off putting. The sofas could do with a wash as a bit dirty and a few arm chairs thread bare. However, this did not detract from our overall enjoyment of staying at this property as it was perfect for our group.

In essence everything we needed for a weekend in Bury St Edmunds. Open plan kitchen, dining and seating area is well thought out as everyone is included in conversations wherever they're sitting. Situated close to shops, pubs, restaurants and town centre with the cathedral and park literally on the doorstep. All bedrooms were great and slept all 8 of us comfortably. Only minor complaint was that one of the showers was running cold. Sink water was hot but not the shower. This was only a minor detail, everything else was perfect. Highly recommend

Perfect location - very warm - good beds & facilities.

Showers not hot enough in all bedrooms..

The house has a very large downstairs room with the kitchen at one end and a sitting room area at the other. Dining space is between the two. This means everyone can be together, even when cooking, and there is plenty of room for the dogs. Also, the driveway gates close securely, so the dogs can be let out to run outside without having to take them for a walk round the roads last thing at night!

Great location

We have been coming for the past 5 years and there has always been plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery available but this year there was only 5 plates in the cupboard. We managed to find boxes and get some more but when we called to say about this there didn’t seem to be an urgency to want ensure we had enough of everything. We didn’t have enough bowls for all guests which was a shame.
