Walking distance to hospital and town with free off-road parking

Location walking distance to shops, places to eat and train station. Communication with hosts excellent. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking spaces a bonus. We didn't need to use the car during our stay. Bury is a lovely town. We will be back.

Nothing to dislike

We enjoyed the spacious interior which was clean, bright and comfortable. The facilities all worked well and the book of instructions was very helpful. We had some difficulty with the central heating controls but persevered. The beds were fine though there was little floor space for suitcases in the main bedroom. The shower was excellent. Our host was responsive and informative and pleasant to deal with.

We spent Christmas in the house so would have appreciated a proper table and chairs for up to 4 people for the many meals we had there. We also missed an ice-making facility in the fridge. We couldn't find a socket for an electric shaver/toothbrush either, this seemed quite unusual these days. As we did a lot of washing up of greasy pans, a better pan scrubber would have been helpful (a very greasy grill pan was sadly, found in the oven on arrival and it was almost impossible to get it clean) but this is a minor quibble really.

Ideal for a short stay within walking distance of Bury St Edmunds town centre.

It was clean and comfortable and an excellent location for our needs, being able to walk into town was a definite bonus. The location was also peaceful, no through traffic.

Beds could have been a little more comfortable We could have done with more towels A hanging rail in the master bedroom would have been very useful
