Moradia entre o Mar e a Ria

First of all is the owner Gloria. She will so lovely and generous! This generosity can be seen in everything! She thought of everything so we will feel at home: the great candy and wine, everything you need to shower in every bathroom, and everything is arranged beautifully. The house itself is huge and beutiful. Very decorative and still you feel comfortable. The location is great. 6 min by car to center of Aveiro. We will come back me beck! ♥️

Everything was perfect ♥️

Host, Gloria, was just lovely. She provided some treats when we arrived as well as lemons and oranges from her trees along the way. She also provided unlimited firewood as we stayed in January and the house was quite cold (no central heating), although the fireplace smoked a lot so we restricted use - Gloria also provided electric space heaters which allowed us to keep some of the smaller rooms warm enough. The unit is extremely spacious with many lovely antiques as furniture. The 3 bathrooms are spacious and function extremely well. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. While there is no parking on the property, there is a municipal parking lot on the other side of the house next door - so quite convenient and we always could find a spot. You will want to have a car here, but if you do, the location is really excellent as is very close to the freeway entrance and then only a few minutes to Aveiro old town, or in the other direction, the fabulous beaches of Costa Nova or Barra. Excellent grocery store a few minutes away as well. The safely fenced yard was perfect for our dog.

The beds were acceptable but size was small double and older mattresses were a bit hard for us. The house is situated on a busy traffic street with a very narrow sidewalk on the side of the house - while this made unloading the car a bit challenging in the day, there was little traffic at night so noise did not impact sleeping.

Owners live on the higher floors, and they are always ready to help. We arrived relatively late with the children, and we highly appreciated the snacks, sweets, and portwine provided by the hostess. It's a traditional Portuguese house with fabulous antique furniture and decorations. Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Washing machine with drying function. Magnificent evenings with a fireplace. Good wifi working in all the rooms. Built-in air heaters in the rooms add comfort in winter. There're a big free public parking, a supermarket, and a bakery nearby. Good location to get by car to the beach or the nearby cities (Aveiro, Ilhavo, etc). We'll come here again for sure.

Very friendly owners, we found in the house everything we needed for our stay, bread, cakes, jams, coffee, etc.. And the lady, who was very kind, even let us find a bottle of port and some sweets typical of the area. The house has a very large free car park a few metres away, and a very well-stocked supermarket just opposite, on the other side of the road. The village is very close to Aveiro and the beaches. An absolutely recommended place.
