Place was a bit creepy for me. So I booked 4 nights but left on the first one, couldn’t stay there alone. Place clean, stuff polite. But definitely will never come back

The only redeeming thing about this place is its location - beautiful remote beach front. Right next to an abandoned resort with crumbling infrastructure, kind of eerie but great to watch the sunrise.

Our stay was absolutely awful - I don’t even know where to begin and honestly don’t even want to spend additional time thinking about this anymore, but this is a public service announcement for future guests, something I wish I would have seen before I decided to take a chance on this place. We were a party of five and stayed in the main house, which is an old wooden Malay/Thai structure that has so much potential but clearly is not maintained and is treated like an afterthought by the owner, who is not local and lives in Kuala Lumpur and is completely unresponsive to any complaints or issues made on Booking.com. Our van got stuck in the sand for hours after we arrived because there was no signage directing vehicles to a safe parking spot on the grounds, and the driver had to call his friends to tow the van out. Food options are nonexistent within walking distance. There is a groundskeeper who barely responds to messages and never seems to be around, even though he is friendly when you do see him, and a housekeeper who only comes once a day to maybe change the bedsheets and bath towels and take out the trash. The rest of the house is filthy, see photos attached – broken, unused, dusty furniture lying around, animal excrement scattered on sofas and chairs, upstairs bathroom sink does not drain and the shower is rusted. Blankets had sediment all over them and smelled musty even though apparently they are new, there is no internet or air conditioning and somehow we were still paying more than $100 a night - for what? There are literally no amenities at this place and it is completely misrepresented on Booking.com. Most awful of all is that the house swarms with bugs and mosquitoes at night even when the windows are closed, the fans are on at full blast, incense burners are lit, etc. We are not locals obviously and were eaten alive by mosquitoes.
