Good localisation, amazing view. We loved the terrace. Comfortable bed. The owner was super helpful!

Some ants in the kitchen and the living room was a bit too dark.

Beautiful terrace with an amazing view! Well equipped outdoor kitchen. We liked the property in particular with regard to spending time on the spacious terrace, with beautiful sunset views. Everything was very clean and as described. Garage available so parking was not an issue. Extremely easy and helpful contact via messages with the host. Very calm area including during the night, perfect for relaxing.

Unfortunately the wildfire damages in the area are still rather visible which took away from the ambiance and our hiking plans around the village. The closest grocery store is too far to walk (in our view, 52 min), so having a car is essential for staying here. The ground floor is quite dark, with little daylight due to the hillside location and insufficient lighting in the kitchen. The well furnished living room was cosy, but had a slightly cellar-like ambiance and air — this is of course subjective. There was no housekeeping in between during our five-day stay.

Excellent house for a vacation in Madeira with a great view of the ocean. Outdoor/grill area is awesome to relax after a day of hiking and driving around the crazy roads. One thing to note is that this location is on the cool/forest side of the island, not the hot/tropical side - helps with the heat, but doesn't have as much of the tropical vibe.

Most popular spots are quite far away. As the island is quite small, it's not a big issue. Might even help with adapting to the steep roads.

The biggest asset to this property is outdoor sitting and BBQ area, which hosts can freely use. it is covered and climate allows to enjoy the nights outdoors even when it is heavily raining. We had everything what we might need from the ready to use wood for the BBQ to the washing machine and washing liquid. Paulo, the host, communicated well with us through WhatsApp and replied quickly with helpful answers. the bed was comfortable and indoor and outdoor kitchen has everything what you might need throughout your stay.

We suggest to keep all your food in the fridge as you might share food with ants :) otherwise you won’t see any
