Pounce Hall -Stunning historic home in rural Essex

Great location. Very spacious. Super big kitchen. Lovely views. Plenty of parking space. Great garden for barbeque, games etc. & the outdoor log burner was an asset too.

Not much we didn’t like really. The garden furniture was rather tiered though & not enough seating for the amount of people staying at the property. Also would suggest written instructions for cooking in the Aga , as it is quite different from a conventional oven & a bit problematic. But apart from that, all good.

This is a very pretty old house with some of the original beams on display and with some beautiful pieces of furniture around the home. There was plenty of fridge space. Nice linen and towels. comfortable beds Good size bedrooms Log fire in the lounge is a nice feature

It has 3 sitting rooms it would have been nice if one of those was a dining room away from the kitchen. It would be nice for a few little details to be improved, such as providing table cloths, table mats so serving dinner is a bit nicer but it was well stocked and therefore this was just a personal preference. The kitchen is stocked with a mismatch of items and could be slightly better organised and a few simple items added to make this better equipped.

A beautiful house and the grounds were absolutely amazing

We loved the house and the location. It was so peaceful and we felt very at home here. It was really clean and so well equipped. We had a lovely stay with some very dear friends.

Great location and sizeable property. Nice views from each room and very clean and comfortable.

It didn’t mention that there was an aga in the description- it took a long time to cook our food which was unexpected. However it was a nice feature in the kitchen.
