Robinson's Cottages

Such a beautiful place. Too much good for me to say - exceptionally clean, cabins are private, scenery is incredible. Imagine if you had a nice Maine family camp that had been in your family for three generations, and that's what the cabins are like. They are the quintessential Maine camps/cabins. Beautiful stone fireplaces, wood stoves to take off the morning and evening chills. Free wood on site at every cabin. I could go on and on. Just make sure you get a cabin that has the free wifi, if you need internet.

Convenient location for the purpose of my trip..Wonderful spot, peaceful and relaxing -- wish I had more time to spend than just one night. I had last been here nearly 30 years ago when hosting my parents 35th anniversary in the larger cottage. Wonderful to see it still in the same family - 4th generation I believe

Nothing to not like

The cabin is RUSTIC and has the necessities for comfort and cooking. .The bathroom is a little small. We kept a fire going all day so it could help keep the place warm. We can see that the cottages would be great for bigger crowds in spring and summer ^ Ing j

We had difficulty keeping the bedrooms warn

The location was perfect.

We weren't aware that it was so small. Or that you needed to use the wood burner to keep it warm. It's not that we didn't like it we just were not aware of this. It definitely was a surprise.

Great location, close to Canada. The hosts are wonderful, great communication from them.

Unfortunately, there was a warm spell that brought about a beetle bloom (the yellow, stinky “lady bugs”) which inundated the cottage. The owners did what they could to vacuum & spray for them, however the bugs were terrible. Made for an uncomfortable stay. The owners did give us a heads up about the situation, although coming in late afternoon from Canada, we were too exhausted to appreciate the issue at hand. So, much of the situation was out of their control. Gotta love Mother Nature, eh?

Close to Canadian border. Great half way stop for trip to & from the fantastic Celtic Colours festival. Wood supply under porch was great. Kitchen well supplied for cooking the foods we brought with us to the cabin (host left some coffee to brew- so appreciated!).

Only source of heat: wood. Spent a bit of chilly night, fire didn’t cooperate for the porch & bed. (Yes, we were raised on wood heat, so we know how it’s done). Next time we will gather more wood inside.

Place ready and well lit and warmed with the fireplace when we arrived. Well stocked
