IL GIARDINO DI ATHENA

. It is a beautiful house. It is very old, but perfectly updated to retain the reality of the 19th century, but have all the modern conveniences. Being able to wake up and go to sleep with the view of a temple was beyond anything I could have imagined. The hosts went out of their way to do unexpected wonderful favors for me that I wouldn’t even have asked, for they just thought of them for me, and it was so gracious. The kitchen was stocked with things I didn’t even expect. everything. It was just wonderful. The train station was within walking distance, but the host made it not necessary for me to walk. The air conditioning is a little bit temperamental, but I didn’t go to 2500 year old ruins for the air-conditioning.

The bed could be a little more comfortable, but then I am quite old so that could have affected my experience

Casa su due livelli con giardino e vista meravigliosa sui templi, estremamente curata e dalla pulizia eccezionale. Dotata di ogni comfort (lavatrice, lavastoviglie, parcheggio). Padroni di casa super gentili e disponibili. Consigliatissimo.

La ubicación y el patio jardin

Dette er et af de bedste steder jeg har boet. En deilig lejlighed, med Tempelparken som nabo. Stor have, som var et meget stort plus. Meget venlige, imødekommende og hjælpsomme værter. De kørte mig til supermarkedet og til stationen. Mens jeg ventede på toget opdagede at jeg havde glemt mit Smart Watch og lader i lejligheden. Jeg ringede til værten og han kom med det samme, så jeg nåede at få det før jeg stod på toget. Det er service :) Jeg kan varmt anbefale alle a booke dette sted.

We arrived shortly after sunset and were met in the car park of the neighbouring restaurant (very easy). The house is next to a farm in a quiet area, with space to park the car right outside. The house is spacious and well equipped and beautifully furnished with antique furniture. The signori led us into the garden where there is a beautiful patio, planted with orange trees. The scent of the trees was heavenly. They then led us down the garden, through their olive grove. At the end of the olive grove was the fence for the Paestum archaeological site and there, floodlit, were the Greek temples. Absolutely magical! The entrance to the archaeological site is a short, safe stroll down the road. We stayed for two nights but would happily have stayed longer. We hope that one day we might return - thank you for a lovely stay!

Not a problem for us but, for information, the WiFi was slow and intermittent. The tank for hot water was small, but quick to heat up. In the evening, there was rock music, which was loud in the garden, coming from a very long way off - somewhere beyond the archaeological site (not audible inside the double-glazed house).

Superbe logement avec un beau jardin. Localisation exceptionnelle à côté du parc archéologique et vue magnifique sur les temples. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, ils sont venus nous chercher et nous reconduire à la gare de train. Quel bel accueil! Merci Giuseppe!!

Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e premura dai proprietari che ci hanno mostrato l'accogliente struttura. La casa è arredata con gusto e in tema con il contesto di Paestum. Inoltre il giardino ha vista templi. Mozzafiato! La casa è fornita e ben attrezzata. La consiglierei e ci ritornerei sicuramente ancora!
