Papaioannou - Gomati Chalkidikis

Our family likes to spend half of the vacation at the beach house, and the other half somewhere in the mountains/village, reasonably near the see. Gomati checks all the boxes for us - the village itself is small, quiet and close to the major towns and beaches. It gives impression of a very harmonious community and has a very good energy. There are two nice general stores, a bakery and even a pharmacy. It takes 10 minutes by car to go to Ierissos if you need something in Masoutis or LIDL stores. A very nice and superbly clean Develiki beach with an authentic Dionisos beach tavern, and Pirgos beach are also at ~10 minutes driving distance by car. The house itself was big enough, PERFECTLY CLEAN and with all facilities and fully equipped with everything that a family like ours (three kids) may need. Maria, the neighbor, who gave us the keys is an amazing - so good and kind person. The most important thing is that we didn't even need to use clima/air conditioning because the nights are so chill that we slept like babies. The balcony on the upper floor is huge, we enjoy having breakfasts in the morning there and spending late afternoons watching sunset.

Nothing to dislike, really. Maybe mosquitoes outside, but the house itself has mosquito nets.

Great place for families with children. Good beaches anywhere on Khalkidhiki. I had a warm welcome from Maria (your local contact there) and nice moments on the near beaches(Develiki, Ladhario etc. ). Strongly recommend to visit the local farmer market each Tuesday in Ierissos!
