Coastal escape in the heart of Saltburn

We stayed over the Easter break, & very much enjoyed ourselves here. The flat is lovely - spacious, decorated nicely, cosy & warm, with comfortable beds & sofas, & a well equipped kitchen. It's situated perfectly for the lovely beach at the end of the road. As other travellers have mentioned, there is a flight of stairs into the property, but this was not a problem for our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) & our dog. The friendly host was in contact with us before & during our stay, & there was a very informative folder with plenty of info about the flat itself, the local area, & places to eat & visit, which was lovely & helpful. We also very much appreciated the welcome basket, with tea, coffee, milk, treats & a bottle of wine - thanks so much for that lovely touch! Standard items that alot of other self-catering properties don't consider providing but were catered for here were things like washing up liquid, cloths & sponges, & washing machine pods, etc

With regards bed comfort, the mattresses were nice & comfy, but of the 10 pillows available on the four beds at the flat, only 2 were suitable for our kids, as they were all really high & firm. After 3 nights I had neck ache! Could maybe just offer a few softer ones? On a VERY picky note, though the kitchen was extremely well stocked we would've loved some big pasta bowls - just a thought, no hinderance on our stay or enjoyment. The flat is situated on a street that has bars & restaurants at one end, & a pub at the other, & unfortunately this makes it a rat run for drunk loud people! We stayed Thurs, Fri, & Sat, and experienced noise problems both Fri & Sat night. Parking is a bit of an issue, as it's on-street & first come, first served, which has been mentioned in previous reviews, but this seems to be a common problem for Saltburn in general, & nothing to do with this particular flat or location.

This had everything we needed for our first visit to Saltburn - a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and sofas, an amazing bathroom, and sea views. The welcome basket was very much appreciated. The central location made exploring the area fun and easy, close to the town for various food and drink options, and close to the beach and pier too, yet remarkably quiet.

Really nice house and in a great location, Katie was really helpful and responded to messages really quickly. Would love to stay again

Nothing, was perfect

Perfect location , literally 1 min to the seafront. Beautifully presented property with log burner for cosy evenings. Lovely welcome pack and very responsive local hosts. Property is over 2 floors (1st and second of a large Victorian home ) Access is private and up a flight of stairs . 2nd floor bathroom was massive !! And a second loo on the 1st floor was really handy .

Nothing - everything was great !

Lovely home in an excellent location, so close to the beach. A problem with a door handle was speedily resolved by Rex. Welcome hamper was a really nice touch.

We had a really lovely stay in this property, nothing but positive feedback to report. It was clean, comfortable, very well equipped with all those little things you need to make your stay feel so homely. Beds were really comfortable. Welcome pack was fabulous, bathroom was amazing. Owners were extremely responsive when we needed to contact them. Very close to seaside and amenities, short walk from train station, was just lovely and we really hope to return.
