lovely quiet location, Lovely hosts, lovely well equipped rooms

The bed was extremely hard and we found it uncomfortable.

A delightful family, beautiful studios with rooftop terraces, in a quiet part of the Algarve away from the tourist crowds – we would stay there again. The studios are their own self-contained buildings, grouped around a small but spotlessly clean pool with rosemary and bay hedges, shaded by citrus trees. A couple from Germany and a woman from Vancouver were also staying there - that was the whole crowd. The elderly couple who live there don't speak English, but we all communicated just fine. We were very complimented when she brought us a plate of her Sunday lunch, an Algarve dish called xarém do marisco, so good!

We had become spoiled by our other stays in the Basque Country and Portugal, where we had good food and cold wine at an easy stroll from our lodgings. I don't drive after dark, so we felt a bit like teenagers with strict curfews - but the view of the stars and the warm breeze up on our terrace were lovely, as we ate takeout dinners in the late evening. We had charcoal barbecued chicken with crusty bread and a good salad of tomatoes & sweet onion one night, a seafood cataplana one other. Just terrible.

Very cosy place with great hosts. Located 5 minutes drive from Fuseta where you can take a boat taxi or ferry to the beaches. Grocery stores are 15 minutes away (by car). There are pool and jacuzzi available but we didn't use it. Spacious gated parking.

There are cats and a dog on the territory, so keep in mind if allergic. Some ants are sneaking in the house, but not a major problem.

Having to say goodbye 😢

+ location, we liked Fuseta and Ria Formosa. Restaurants are further away, but for us that was no problem + The rooftop terrace was amazing! + We liked the kitchen and oven very much! + The windows had screens against musquitos + We arrived very late due to circumstances and the host waited for us

- We didn't like that we got 3 comparable messages with rules and the question to leave our document numbers in only one day. We booked the day before so we can imagine there is a rush, but we were working that day and felt pressured. On the last they we got rules another time, yes now we know already... - the rules stated that you have to leave the apartment exactly as you encountered it, even throw away the trash yourself. We felt like we had to clean the place spotlessly, which is not hospitable at all. Also we think we left the place better. There was only one roll of toilet paper for one week, there was a dish washer but not only one dishwasher cube, a sponge and dishcloth cut in half and too few towels. We left toilet paper, dishwasher cubes, food and water for the guests, we hope they let it there so that other people feel very welcome! The price/quality would be so much better if you just leave a few of these stuff. - the bed is very small and not comfortable - the pool is very small and dirty, it has a green border of algae - the shower was clogged and it had a lot of small black hairs of a different person in it, which I was standing in on the first day together with a pool of water. Cleaned it myself.
