good access to Alton Towers. spacious property.

I was a little surprised there was no toaster available for use.

Easy to find location, parking ok, nice shower.

Ant infestation in the kitchen and lounge. Not great especially for a family. Dishwasher broken. Owner was sympathetic, but did nothing to alleviate or compensate us for these very disappointing issues. Seems that the owners cleaner is not very thorough, and as I assume this property is being operated remotely, closer scrutiny of the cleaner and a more "hands/on service-oriented" approach to customer issues would be a big improvement to make this a successful let. Generally clean but walls are W&T grubby throughout and the place really needs a full redecoration to come anywhere near "beautiful". It's evidently an ex- HMO/student property with attempts to make it homely through wall furnishings. Visitors should be aware there is a downstairs front bedroom looking out to the road and pavement, and as a victorian house, the stairs to the first floor are steep.

Just a slight query with the keys, I called the owner and she sorted the query out straightaway.

House was clean and comfortable. Heating was on when we landed. Keys were easy retrieved from lockbox. Host contacted us on arrive to ensure we arrived OK. She seems very approachable, although we had no reason to contact her after arrival. Shower was gorgeous.

They need a toaster. Rooms upstairs were chilly. However there is a plug in rad that made a world of difference on our second night. Smart TV would have been appreciated.

It property was local to where we were visiting. It was great that there was a downstairs toilet and a ground floor bedroom as we had a member that has mobility issues.

We felt that the stairs were rather steep and again an older family member struggled, the bathroom was also downstairs so it was weird having to walk through the kitchen to taje a shower. Feel it could have been cleaner as it felt dusty. The lounge seemed rather cluttered.

Close to town and shops, large bedroom, good communication with host

Small kitchen and living area compared to bedroom. Our family of 6 felt a bit cramped and could not eat together at the table

as a family of 6 it was the perfect size that everyone had a bit of room for themselves. I also left my cheese slice which I love and they posted it back to me 😊
