The village by the sea is really lovely, and the lake is absolutely beautiful. There are excellent restaurants in town.

We booked this property specifically because it advertised having a pool, hoping to spend two relaxing nights between longer stops in Northern Italy. It was nearly as expensive as some four-star hotels, so our expectations were not low. Unfortunately, the pool was closed exactly during our stay. It did not feel like a coincidence. When we were informed, we immediately asked to cancel our reservation, but the owners refused. Instead, they offered us tickets to a nearby water park. When we agreed, they suddenly insisted we pay ourselves and maybe be reimbursed later without explaining how that would work. We did not trust them at all. Communication was very difficult. The owners kept blaming everything on someone they called “Luigi,” who was supposedly the manager – but we strongly suspect he doesn’t exist. The apartment itself was dark, extremely cramped, and had clear signs of damp damage. It smelled of mold, making it unpleasant to stay indoors at all. The entire property felt abandoned and gloomy. Another family was there but didn’t want to say hello, and we felt watched throughout our stay.

A cosy apartment on the hills with a lovely view onto the lake and the surrounding mountains. Well equipped, with a verandah and a small garden. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. The village of Tavernola is quaint, has restaurants, bars, some small shops too. We like cooking our own food, so we did not eat at the local restaurants. The agent, Ayla, was very helpful, check-in was pleasant. Will return.

For us it was no problem, just to mention, driving up to the apartment is a steep and narrow road. To walk up from the lake, be prepared for +- 15-20 minutes of steep walking. We enjoyed it though...

Very quiet location, fully equipped apartment

Ok for 2 people but cramped if more.

Nearly all the equipment was either broken, damaged or falling apart. Stove top had not been cleaned properly and was greasy. Bins had not been cleaned before putting in fresh bags and smelled. Lighting was bad. Kitchen equipment was poor.
