Bowness On Windermere, Lovely Apartment for 4 With Parking

The location is good

Unable to close and lock 3 windows- 2 in the lounge and 1 in the bedroom. This gave constant noise and cold throughout the day and during the night. The locking mechanism on those windows didn’t engage into the keeps. The accommodation was filthy and the owner was less than helpful. At first he was helpful about the parking but very rude about the state of the kettle, what was in it and the dust and dirt throughout- see attached photos. The owner promised us a half part refund which he then retracted! Eventually giving us £50 which is disgraceful! We left the accommodation far cleaner than when we arrived. When you book somewhere to stay, you expect it to look something like the photos you have viewed. This accommodation does not and it was not cheap! We would recommend to stay away and book something that is true to the reviews listed. This is an honest review - the others close to the date we stayed cannot be! Our time away with our mum who is in her 70’s was totally spoilt! This was the second time that we have stayed in Bowness and it possibly is our last. The owner has had plenty of opportunity to put this right and has chosen not to.

Fantastic ! Loved it...clean, spacious, comfortable, great location, secure parking, excellent comms from host. Wanted to stay longer!
