Casa rural El Casar de Espejos I y II

It is a lovely historic place with interesting original features, comfortable for a short or long stay for up to 6 people. The owners were really nice and sent us lots of information of things to do and places to go in the area and were in contact throughout the booking, check in and check out process. There is a lovely cheese store close by and nice pets in the village, and cows pass near by on their way to the fields. We really enjoyed our stay!

The owners were lovely

When we arrived we found another family in the house that we had booked and we were given the new ex cow shed extension although it was nice it wasn't the deal that we were shown on booking.com the 26 pictures were mostly of the house we thought was what we had booked and about 6 were the accommodation we received,we ate out most of our meals for 2 reasons 1 cooking pots and pans were 2 small frying pans and a wok no oven dishes so meals were very hard to cook it would have been impossible to cook for a family. Second the moment we opened the door we were invaded by flies the owner had put a electric fly zap but that was not enough, the house was in a farm area and cows,sheep and goats were walking past, the neighbours dogs were running around and fouling the street not very nice, we took our working dog with us and on the last day she was bitten by a snake that came out of the building materials left in the porch, the owner was there when it happened and he said that he would clear the materials, one of the guests from next door asked the farmer about snakes and was told that he seen many around the property. I would advise the owner also look at the down stairs bathroom we had to cover the shower drain with plastic and towels to stop the smell coming out of the drain( not very nice)

Ancient house in the countryside. Well equipped! It's a pity we couldn't stay longer. The hosts are very friendly!

Beautiful setting. Spacious house with great facilities. Missed having a kettle - us British and our tea!

Minor points: place mats for dining table and a kettle.
