"A really lovely place to stay"

10.0

The breakfast and the dinner were amazing, really fantastic food made with local produce. At night we have been able to sit by the fire in the conservatory area. It would be a great place for families with the animals, grounds and play area. The owners are really helpful and kind. It a great location if you have a car, to drive to different towns and into the countryside. Lots of nice cosy nooks to enjoy a morning coffee or a warm evening

"Fantastic family run inn...."

10.0

Quiet respite at beautiful Basque farmhouse/estate run by warm and caring multi-generational owners. While offering all modern amenities, Casa Jesukoa's real strength is the family's old-school professionalism and pride in what they do. Fantastic, Quiet & Relaxing; don't miss Ramon's breakfast!

"Perfection in Basque paradise"

10.0

We fulfilled a life-long dream in March of 2019 by visiting the Basque Country (Euskadi) of Northern Spain. We used as our base of operations for four days, the Casa Rual Jesuskoa and found it perfect in every way. We highly recommend Casa Rual Jesuskoa to any and all visitors to the Basque Country, and cannot wait to return there ourselves. Our hosts Ramón and John and their large, charming, and very friendly family could not have been more gracious, helpful, or welcoming. Their local knowledge and advice made our daily explorations to San Sebastian, Bilbao, Zumaia, Loyola and the “Three Temples” route easy and problem-free. We were particularly appreciative of the easy road access, and abundant and problem-free parking at Jesuskoa, both of these features comparatively rare in other parts of the Iberian Peninsula. The accommodations at Jesuskoa were first-rate, our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet, and the reading room up in the attic of the old, 1688 building was an added plus. The family-run restaurant was splendid, offering some of the very best, local sourced food we ate during our entire 3-week, 3,500+ Km tour of Spain and Portugal, at very reasonable cost. The breakfast and dinner offerings were creative, delicious and generously portioned, and we wish we had more time to try the entire menu. Finally, the young kids at Jesuskoa indicated the “Family-friendly” nature of the place more strongly than could any other form of advertisement. The animal menagerie at Jesuskoa and especially the family dogs and cat provided great entertainment and a wonderful welcome every time we returned there from our exploratory treks, and came to be a high point of each day. We came as strangers, but left as friends. If you only have one day to spend in the Basque Country of Northern Spain, spend it at Casa Rural Jesuskoa - you will not be disappointed. Thank you Ramón, John and the Oliden family for your kind and gracious hospitality. Mahalo and aloha, Millie and Brian

"Hidden Gem, highly recommend"

10.0

If you have read any of my other reviews you will see i tend to rate hotels quite highly, there are a couple of reasons for this, firstly i choose carefully and also balance my expectations against what i have booked and Secondly how much did i pay to what was provided I cannot rate this Hotel highly enough, if there was an option to give it an extra star, it would for sure get it. I booked this hotel when only a few hours away, and thought there must be something wrong, its too inexpensive and too well rated! Well i was wrong on both counts, its simply fantastic, its a converted farm, barn house which is now a hotel and restaurant, the family and very friendly, the rooms were large and to a high standard, the breakfast was amazing, one of the best i have ever had from a hotel. I parked my Motorcycle around the back of the main building as instructed and was quite happy this was a safe location, this hotel would be great for a group of friends travelling who don't need to venture out, as its in a rural location, they have great Gin and Tonic menu and the food as mentioned was great. As other reviewers have mentioned the walls are a little thin, so there could be a minor amount of noise depending who you get as neighbours, however this was not a problem to me Just book it
