Everything at Blackhill Woods was very clean and plush. Simon was a wonderful host, who was attentive but not intrusive. The location is peaceful, in a quiet rural setting, though not far from the quaint village of Abbeyleix or the spectular ruins at the Rock of Dunamase. Breakfast was delicious, as a welcome healthy alternative to the pervasive meat-heavy Irish morning feasts. I highly recommend the Blackhill Woods Retreat.

Blackhill woods retreat provided us with a very relaxing peaceful environment after attending a family funeral locally. Éilish the host was most friendly and accommodating to us, allowing my daughters a delayed checkout.
