Casa rural Las Palmeras

The casita is part of a cluster of former farm workers cottages, belonging to the now defunct banana farms in this valley. - the host, Balbina, was available on whatsapp. - very quiet location, no through traffic. - beautiful views across the vally and down to the sea. - the house is beautifully decorated and fully equipped for a longer stay. - a friendly cat is on site to make you feel at home😊, don't forget to bring her some treats! - good public transport connections: the house is about 1km from the line #2 bus stop Pie de la Cuesta (San Sebastian-Vallehermoso). Vallehermoso is ca. 4km away, a 45min walk along the road or 10 min by bus. Though most guests hire a rental car to get here, this is not strictly necessary and could be more of a hindrance if you are planning a hiking holiday on the island. - good public amenities (supermarkets, farmacy, doctor, taxi, bus station) in nearby Vallehermoso. - ideal for hiking: the GR132 circular long-distance path passes nearby. Other hikes across the whole island can be accessed by bus, e.g. Valle Gran Rey or La Dama. Get up early, as the buses to the South of the island leave Vallehermoso at 6:30. - The hamlet has a beautiful, sandy beach (at low tide) to dip into the sea, although with the huge waves and steep, exposed access path this would not be suitable for a beach holiday.

-There is no mobile reception in this valley. Make sure that you clarify any questions about arrival, check-in, keys, wifi, etc. in advance of travelling there. - The house could benefit from mosquito netting on the windows. - Kitchen and bathroom show some wear and tear. - Portuguese centipedes are everywhere, inside and outside the house, although they are harmless.

An amazing location! What a view and perfect for a few days of relaxing or hiking. There was a small welcome gift of fruits and some cookies. Nice neighbours, good facilities, spacious and quiet during the night. We were with two so the open roof between the rooms was no issue at all. You have your own parking space which comes in super useful.

Some things weren't properly cleaned by the cleaner, but the host said he is taking care of it.

No encontramos ninguna pega

La tranquilidad del lugar sobre todo. Es un sitio perfecto para descansar y desconectar. La casa es preciosa y Balbina nos dejó un detalle de bienvenida con frutas, galletas etc. El que se permita llevar animales es maravilloso. Pudimos llevar a nuestras dos perritas que lo pasaron en grande. Sin duda repetiremos.

Everything was perfect - the Casa is in a location with great view, there‘s everything you need for a very comfortable stay and the owner is always at hand in case something is needed.
