Lovely Cottage

Alloggio ben organizzato e funzionale, con ampi spazi esterni ed un giardino molto curato. La posizione è centrale per visitare le località del golfo e della Sicilia occidentale.

The location was great. Absolute silence and within a short driving distance of everything we wanted. Everything was good. The outdoor showers were lovely: one in the garden, the other under a tree on a rock :). We would definitely go back again.

The only thing: we couldn't find accommodation. The maps led us somewhere else, and we wandered around the streets for quite a while. I would recommend the owner to draw a map and route to get to the accommodation and send it to people before they go to the accommodation.

We stayed here for two weeks with our son of two years and it was a really good choice. The location was absolutely fantastic, remote and on the foot of a mountain yet at the same time on very short driving distance from Scopello and Castellamare Del Golfo and their beaches. Also a good basis in case you want to visit Palermo, Trapani, etc.. The accommodation itself is as well great, we've used the outside kitchen and BBQ on daily basis and our son had plenty of space to run around, play and discover the big garden. There was nothing better for us to wake up in the morning and have our coffee and breakfast being surrounded by the beauty of nature with excellent views. Gabriele is a great host and is literally replying within one minute whatever happens.

We generally liked everything, just keep in mind that the facility hasn't got a washing machine. For short stays no problem, but for longer stays it may be convenient. We solved it by washing by hand which wasn't a big deal either.

We had a wonderful stay at “lovely cottage”. We recommend it to anyone, who wants to spend a calm holiday with a stunning view of mountains. The facilities were fine, and had everything we needed, even for Danish tourists like us, who cook every night ;-) Lovely Cottage is located in a “sweet spot”, so we never had to drive very far to go and see all the special places around the Castellammare Bay. Extra tip: if you are up for it, do yourself a favor and hike down to Cala Bianca, it’s a bit of a struggle, but if you are adventurous it’s possible (we did it twice with a 2- and 5-year old). It was the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. :) Gabriele was a great host, and didn’t hesitate to come to the cottage whenever we had a problem or question. We would be happy to come back another time.

The mosquitos were biting our children a lot, so I will recommend bringing or buying some mosquito repellant.

Everything was perfect. We had a huge garden just for us, a lot of privacy, and amazing views. Host was very nice and helpful. Great place to stay for a couple of days and visit Sicily.

Lovely characterful cottage in peaceful location. Everything as described. Great facilities.

Nothing other than the persistent mosquitos !
