I'm not a big fan of shared accommodation, but this one felt very good. Well-equipped kitchen, spacious and clean house, nice bathroom. Our room was also very good - it had an AC, big enough closet and everything you need. The place also has an outside terrace and roof where you can stay/eat/relax. Parking is not a problem and the grocery store is pretty close.

Not much to dislike here apart from very dull knives and poor water pressure in the shower. We had one neighbor who couldn't really clean the dishes after his cooking, but that is a different problem.

Very calm, relaxing and nice area. Friendly staff and guests. Nice and very clean facilities.

No proper blanket (just a thin sheet) and quite flat pillows.

Excellent location, the close proximity to the rail station meant we can access the larger towns on the Algarve. There is a top class beach within walking distance, and a ferry (ten minute journey) to a more extensive beach on an island close to the coast. The property is within walking distance of several top grade restaurants, and also close to a fish market where the recently landed fish are for sale.

Coming home at the end of the holiday.

The guest house is located 5 minutes away walking from the fluvial beach, a couple more minutes walking and there is a boat that travels between the village and the island very frequently. The island has a long strand of beach as well. The house is fully equipped for cooking in, and there is a small mini market with just the essentials less the 5 minutes away. There is a much larger supermarket on the other side of the village maybe 10/15 minutes walking. There are some nice cafes and restaurants in the village as well. The house has 4 rooms so I often had the house to myself which was great since I had to work remotely for a couple days. Good internet connection. There are a couple common areas, one I particularly enjoyed was the rooftop with a view of the fluvial beach, there are some sofas and a canopy to comfortably sit up there. If you have a car (which I did based on previous experience with poor public transport in the region) there is space right in front of the house to park at least 3 cars. An amazing place to relax.

Not so much particular to this area but public transport in the Algarve region is not great, the house is very close to a train stop but trains run maybe every 30/40 minutes and will only take you as far as Faro if you are going east, though of course you can change trains in Faro to keep going east.
