No electricity for 9 hours since check in All my office work was disrupted due to no power supply to laptop

THE CONCEPT WAS GREAT BUT THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY BAD

Internet was good, also the home cooked meal (option) was great. The host family was very friendly

The space has potential but needs maintainance as it’s rustic cabin type space and smells damp. If you open the windows your inundated with insects as there are no screens and it’s in the middle of an unmanaged back woods area. This making it an comfortable experience for me. There is garbage surround the accomo on the propriety which feels very poorly kept. The location is poor as there is nothing to do around here within walking distance as it’s on a very busy road and there is no where really nice to spend time on the property. Rear view is just trees nothing to see. I paid for two nights but left after one as it’s was a place I was not inspired or very comfortable I expressed my concern to the host and he offered to have me stay a few days more for free, which made little sense as he knew why I was leaving early. The truth is the economic picture is difficult for many families here at the moment, and I sensed they desperately needed the income. I felt it was wise to allow him to relist the property (which he did) for the second night i had paid and chose not stay Moving forward with his listing on booking.com, I kindly recommend he reduced the price or improve the quality of the environment and accommodation interior, so as to reduce similar such experiences for future guests who may also feel this way

Buddhika & his family are wonderful hosts, and went to great lengths to ensure I had a comfortable and safe stay. They were so welcoming, the breakfast was perfect, and sound of rain on the tin roof was quite relaxing. Nearby to Matara and good location. Thank you!
