Casa Rural Marques de Cerralbo

We picked this place for the location, in easy walking distance of the monastery Santa María de Huerta, and for the good ratings. As a couple staying just for one night, we did not really make use of the space provided, but it was nice. There is a private garage with suitable space for our station wagon. Very nice to have, although in all honesty the village looks very safe and there is free parking also a few meters away. The owner is a charm, proactive in contacting and extremely friendly on arrival. She also had heated up the house before our arrival, which we greatly appreciated being almost in November. There is a full kitchen and in general the house is well-equipped.

There is nothing to dislike, just to manage expectations. This is a rural place with somewhat older equipment in many areas. Heating is based on gas bottle (still very common in rural Spain) but hot water is based on electricity. Good for us, as we just happened to be there at the moment the gas bottle had to be swapped and we had not thought about turning down the heating when falling asleep. The house is beside the major (the one main) road through the village and there is some traffic during the day. For us the night was quiet.

Nuestra estancia fue estupenda. La casa está perfectamente equipada (menaje de cocina, toallas, gel, etc), unas camas muy cómodas, calefacción y chimenea, garaje. Además la dueña de la casa fue superamable y nos dejo un bizcocho riquísimo, café, leche, te. En definitiva muy recomendable y encima a buen precio.

Casa muy acogedora y bien equipada. Lo mejor fue Esti, mujer súper agradable y atenta. Nos dio la bienvenida con un bizcocho y leche. Perfecto!

El colchón de la cama es muy viejo e incómodo.

Espectacular!! Cómoda, bien equipada, limpia y lo mejor es la amabilidad de la señora Desti. Tuvimos un problema con el auto y llegamos 2 horas después de lo estimado y muy amablemente nos espero y nos recibió con un bizcochuelo espectacular y una sonrisa a pesar de la espera (que es algo impagable después de un día largo). 100% recomendable.

Alojamiento muy acogedor y completo en todos los sentidos. Habitaciones amplias y unas camas muy cómodas. Es como estar en tú propia casa.

A really lovely property in a great location beside a beautiful small town. We were made to feel very welcome with lovely touches such as home-made cake and fresh fruit. Property was highly cared for and adjoining garage was perfect for our bikes. It all felt very homely and super clean.

Grande maison où rien ne manque. L accueil très chaleureux de nôtre hôte, son gâteau de bienvenue pour le petit déjeuner du lendemain, avec café soluble, cacao en poudre, confitures et du lait.... La possibilité de garer la voiture dans le garage de la maison est réellement un plus. 3 grandes chambres à l étage, équipées de lits très confortables.

On ne peut pas réellement parler de choses que nous n aurions pas apprécié, juste une petite remarque sur la route passante au ras des fenêtres du RDC, où les camions roulent très vite et font beaucoup de bruit. Mais après une longue journée de visite et 3h de route, vous ne les entendrez pas 😊

This was a lovely rural casa. The community area and community kitchen. were both great. The owner provided a safe place to store our bicycles. The house was quite clean.
