A Peaceful Gem in the Heart of the Village ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stayed at Casa do Balcão in Póvoa de Rio de Moinhos from May 31 to June 4, and it was a truly lovely experience. The bed and breakfast is a quaint and charming place tucked into the heart of the village—quiet, clean, and very comfortable. Our host, Margarida, was absolutely wonderful—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely interesting. Each morning, she prepared a delicious homemade breakfast for us, and one of the highlights of our stay was sitting down with her as she shared stories about her life. That personal touch made us feel not just welcomed, but truly at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with character and heart, Casa do Balcão is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!
