Old Parochial House

The hostess was amazing, very polite and hospitable. Room was clean,facilities were clean,full access to food if needed catered for what I needed. Only downside was trying to find it as it has no eircode. Thats the only downside Would stay again 100%.

Quite location

Location lovely, lovely garden and views of the countryside.

Perhaps a waitress or someone to greet you at the breakfast, would make it more enjoyable. Otherwise it was ok, but a bit basic.

Host was very friendly and helpful

If you appreciate old world charm and genuine no frills hospitality, coupled with a nostalgic reminder of the loveliness of the old irish family home, you will love this place. Ireally enjoyed my 2 nights here.

I didn't want to leave.

Attended a wedding at the nearby Darver Castle, nothing was any hassle, was so close to the venue, met the host on arrival. She provided me with taxi numbers for later on that night if I needed, lovely clean tidy property and had a mighty sleep 🙌 would definitely stay again

quiet and simple rooms, access to kitchen to prepare your own breakfast (all foods provided)

would have preferred a kettle in the room and maybe a TV to catch the news

Breakfast was "Do it yourself". Everything you could possibly want for breakfast was provided. The hostess was very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was furnished to a very high classical standard. It would be impossible to get better. The bathroom was huge. I cannot speak too highly of this house. As my daughter would say , it was "well posh", but also homely. Probably the nicest stay I've had anywhere. Well worth the money.

The location is slightly off the beaten track. I've marked the location down slightly to emphasise the exceptional things about this house. In reality there was nothing I didn't like about my stay here.
