The communal spaces like the kitchen, living room and dining area were huge and felt just like a manor house – we absolutely loved it.

Having the dog’s belongings in the kitchen is a health and safety concern, as it poses a risk of food contamination. The dog leash and drinking bottle being left on the kitchen countertop could compromise food hygiene.

So very well equipped.

Self check in meant we could arrive late without worrying

Good location a short drive away from York City Centre. Overall building was very nice and would be suitable for a large party where you want separate rooms

Stained bedding and road leading up to the property was filled with very large potholes causing damage to my car

Beautiful house and lots of facilities. Parking was easy and the room was lovely.

Bit difficult to get to when it’s dark. The sign is very small and easily missed!

The room was small but very comfortable. The kids were excited to each have a double bed, which was a nice bonus. The shared kitchen was well set up and allowed us to cook our own breakfast. Overall, the stay was comfortable and good value for money.

One small issue was that there wasn’t space for the kettle in the room, so we had to place it on the floor to boil. The shared kitchen was also a bit messy from other guests the night before.
