Dungallan Country House

Lovely building, great location, wonderful views.

Dungallan House was high end and very classy without being pretentious; it felt like a home. Our room was INCREDIBLE from the bed to the bathroom clawfoot tub overlooking a view of the harbor. We only booked one night but wished we had booked more!! Breakfast and dinner were outstanding. My favorite part was enjoying a glass of red wine in the garden area in the late afternoon and reading a book and gazing at the harbor. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!!!

Das schöne alte Herrenhaus hat eine tolle Lage mit Blick auf Oban und das Meer. Die Innenstadt ist zu Fuß in 10 bis 15 Minuten gut zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war etwas klein, aber doch sehr schön und mit einem tollen Badezimmer ausgestattet. Da wir am nächsten Morgen sehr früh zur Insel Mull übergesetzt sind, haben wir das Frühstück leider nicht probieren können. Man hat uns stattdessen ein Frühstück zum Mitnehmen zusammengestellt, mit Sandwiches, Joghurt, einer Banane, Müsliriegel und einer Flasche Mineralwasser. Uns haben das Haus und der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und wir empfehlen es gerne weiter.

From the second we pulled up and walked into the front door we were greeted with kindness, laughter, and a sense of belonging. The staff was exceptional and truly made this our best place during our stay in Scotland. We only stayed one night but Lisa, David, and Declan made such an amazing difference—people are your best investment as they made the difference. And we didn’t get to spend time in the morning but the lady we briefly saw was indeed the same. Thank you so much for your staff and their attention to detail and commitment to service gives hope to us all!

That we had but one day to stay! We will be back someday.

We enjoyed this property because it was above the town of Alban and looked out onto the bay. It was very quiet.
