Kilchrist Castle Cottages

The detailed directions and video link the hosts send you is excellent making it simple to find these hidden little cottages. The location of the cottage was fantastic within easy drive to local beauty spots, shops and restaurants. It is a very quite and peaceful place to relax.

The cottage we stayed in had a strange musty smell and the mattress on the double bed was very uncomfortable and needs replaced, so sadly we didnt get a good sleep during our stay.

Handy for Argyllshire area. Kitchen well equipped for cooking.

A couple of things. Table in lounge only sat 2 for eating and there was 3 of us. Also the pressure in the shower was very low.

Lovely compact little cottage unit, simple but functional. Lovely and bright painted yellow throughout the interior. Small BBQ outside the door if you can be bothered to go and buy or gather fuel. Use of the laundry is available for a small charge. Lovely views from just outside on the field above the property to Jura and Islay. Nice walks for the dog nearby.

That the water pressure in the shower is really poor. The property could do with a better table in the living room for 3 people it was very awkward to sit round.

Wonderful comfortable cottage with everything provided. Very friendly and helpful caretakers with lovely dogs. Location is excellent with superb views and easy travelling distance of Campeltown and the rest of the Kintyre Peninsula.

Mind your head in the shower room/toilet.

Very relaxing place. Excellent work by the caretakers. Functional facilities. Ideal for our needs over the weekend.

Tad on the overpriced side for a standard level of self catering accommodation.
