Amazing location, amazing place for a couple or a family if you're looking for a place "out of this world", it is just you, the river, the birds and the view. Outstanding. Sr. António could not be more helpful and did really care about our stay and always willing to help if needed, definitely a personalised hosting.

We were truly stunned at the beauty of this Villa. We are people who enjoy being exposed to the culture where we visit. This villa is in the heart of the Douro Valley and we could not have found a better accommodation. The place, the views and the host were top notch. Antonio could not do enough to make our stay perfect! He was full of suggestions, information and was available as needed. Truly a gentleman who wanted to expose us to the best of his country. We quickly realized that in order to do justice to the Douro Valley, we needed to spend more time in the company of Antonio who is genuinely interested in exposing us to the best of the region. We have committed to returning to his beautiful villa!

Quite and beautiful place. The house has everything you need. The pool is huge and the view is amazing

We missed some umbrellas since the sun was burning. But it was off season and Antonio is changing the external area and it will be even better outside

the view is fantastic. The pool is nice. It’s tastefully decorated. that’s it.

Host: host was not there to greet us at check-in and arrived several hours later, whenever he felt like it, which prevented us from beginning to enjoy our stay. Antonio interrupted our meal, and without being invited, he stayed for almost 30 minutes looking for excuses not to leave. My wife and I felt our privacy invaded. By the time I asked him to leave us alone, the sun was gone and we couldn't enjoy the pool. I know that other reviews mention very positive aspects of him, but with us he was rude and aggressive. As if that were not enough, the facilities did not allow us to rest well. want to take a relaxing shower? forget it. The shower only gives hot water for a minute. Then you have to turn it off and wait, wet and cold, for the water to heat up again. The lights on the terrace go off automatically at night and there is no way to turn them back on. We were dining outdoors and we had to continue dining inside because everything was left in darkness. The pillows in the main room are uncomfortable and we had to sleep without using them. There are tears and damage everywhere. Details that one would normally let go if it weren't for the fact that there’s a negative surprise after the other. In short, a most unpleasant stay.

The bedroom was very nice and was a large room. The kitchen was very well equipped. There is a nice home cinema room. One car can park directly at the property. Dog friendly, but for bigger dogs the spiral stairs might be a problem. Very quiet place.

The bathroom was not good. The shower was partially broken and electric didn’t work. A second bathroom upstairs would be great. The House we stayed in is unsuitable for people who have Problems with stairs. You have to order breakfast early, if you arrive to late you have to organize breakfast on your own. The remote control for the home cinema didn’t work. To control the volume, we had to control it directly at the box.
