Herdade dos Salgados do Fialho

Beautiful wild setting just outside Faro, loved a cold swim every day (we went in Feb), greeting the horses next door, walking around the natural reserve. It was easy to get into Faro with regular buses and cheap Ubers.

The weather 😂 we had terrible luck of rain and storms. The kitchen could have been better equipped (better knives, vegetable peeler)...

De locatie is helemaal prima, middenin de Salinas / waddengebied. Heerlijk rustig en zeer veel ruimte.

Het beddengoed was smoezelig met schimmelplekken.

Really great location, surrounded by nature, near to the city, easy parking right by the house. The house was well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Carlos was friendly and welcoming, spoke great English and had many local suggestions for us.

The house was a little cold - it was mid-winter and the only heating was the air conditioning unit. This is typical of local properties I think; we managed fine as the AC does the job, just takes a while from when you get in.
