Santu Colas is the quintissential Bed and Breakfast. We arrived late and access to the property was easy. The place was clean and the location was beautiful. Located next to a stream and in the mountains. Tadeo the owner helped us as soon as we arrived. He was very attentive to our needs. Ask for the breakfast outside. There are so many cute little areas to enjoy. The bedding was nice and soft. There was nothing generic about this place. Santu Colas is a family home that we just happened to be staying in. You can feel the history of the home as soon as you walk in. With pictures of his ancestors and beautiful antique furnishings. Such a lovely place to stay.

The coverlet for the bed was not white, and I always prefer white...But once I took that cover off...To my surprise there was a beautiful white quilted coverlet. Coming from the USA, specifically South Florida, we are used to Air Conditioning. Santu Colas does not have air conditioning, however the nights are cool in the mountains, and it was a great experience to sleep with the windows open! We did not feel hot at all.
