The most special attribute are the beautiful spacious grounds, and sun drenched terrace to the grounds. We could watch our child play at the pool, while relaxing in our stretcher! Although we did not use it, I did notice there was a surprisingly well outfitted gym we could have used too.

Fantastic stay at Quinta da Bicuda. The hosts were amazing and incredibly welcoming, the location is prime, and the amenities and service exceeded expectations. We traveled as a family and everything was seamless and comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cascais

We stayed at Quinta de Bicuda for one night. The price was €114, breakfast included. The room itself was fine, no complaints, maybe just an aircon position in the kitchen that make the warm to come very slow to the bed area.

However, the morning completely ruined the experience. Breakfast was advertised as starting at 8:30. We arrived around 8:45 and only then found out that it is not a buffet, as is usual in hotels, but an à la carte service that requires waiting. Since we had to leave by 8:50, we asked for just two coffees to go. While the coffee was being prepared, a young waiter with round glasses suddenly brought us a bill for €8, saying that “this coffee is not included in the breakfast.” No warning, no explanation, breakfast (which we had already paid for) is included, but apparently the coffee is not. In the end, we left without having any coffee at all. A tall man with long hair then ran after us, asking why we didn’t take the coffee. I replied that it was because it wasn’t included. He swore in English and went back inside. An extremely unpleasant situation. Early in the morning, half-awake, guests are forced to deal with confusing rules and justify wanting a simple cup of coffee - something that in normal hotels is always included in breakfast. It gives a strong impression of penny-pinching and trying to charge guests for things they reasonably expect to be included. These small things are exactly what ruin the overall experience. We do not plan to return and cannot recommend this place.
