Agriturismo La Cascinetta

A lovely old farmhouse in quiet countryside but very close to the interesting old town of Pieve di Cento. Andrea was a thoughtful host, the breakfast was big and delicious and we had a lovely walk by the little river to the dyke, seeing butterflies and a kingfisher by the bridge where lots of fish try vainly to leap the weir. You have to go quite a way down the Via Carbonara but the Agriturismo is well-marked. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice.

No criticisms

This agriturismo is located in a nice characteristic and charming 300 year old house. The owners Andrea and Tatiana turned it into a lovely agriturismo. The rooms are spacious and all have airconditioning, the beds are super comfortable. We had a normal twin bedroom and one room with two bedrooms in it. This room has one main entrance and behind the entrance is a small hallway with one single bedroom, one bathroom and one double bedroom. Perfect for a small family, or if you have three kids or like us one teenager who likes to have a room to himself. The breakfast is delicious, Tatiana bakes two cakes every single day so there is an amazing variety to choose from. Fruits, fresh orange juice, cheeses.... and if you want anything else like eggs they prepare it for you. The garden and the swimming pool is beautiful, the pool is big and you have a nice view over the fields. A perfect place to relax. Andrea can recommend nice places for dinner in the neighbourhood, there are good restaurants nearby (by car). And of course beautiful Bologna is nearby to soak up some culture.

Wear flip flops in the area around the pool because there are bees who like the nectar from the small flowers in the grass. Bees are important and they won't hurt you unless you step on them like I did 😆.

The host is very accommodating, helpful, and exceptionally friendly - excellent breakfast with homemade delicacies and outstanding service. The pool is nestled in the landscape and is perfect for swimming and relaxing. Children can explore away from roads and traffic. The location is truly superb, with great local restaurants offering homemade cuisine and delicious ice cream shops nearby. Bologna and Modena are also within easy reach.

We had the feeling that we came to visit our good friends. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious - the best coffee. There are a lot of animals on the territory - our daughter was happy. Nice and clean swimming pool. If we go to these places again, we will definitely stay here

Lovely hosts, clean and large room, great breakfast, wonderful walk by the river straight from the farm, they went the extra mile for my wife's birthday and arranged for flowers
