A Casa dos Avós

A estadia foi perfeita. O Nuno anfitrião enviou imensa informação relevante antes da chegada. A casa estava bem equipada, inclusivamente nos espaços exteriores. As camas eram confortáveis e a zona envolvente é muito calma.

Passámos alguns dias maravilhosos n'A Casa dos Avós em meados de Março. A casa é absolutamente linda e bem mantida, combina o charme inigualável do norte de Portugal com a modernidade. A vista e todo o entorno são encantadores. Tem tudo o que é necessário para cozinhar e fazer churrasco. Usufruímos do braseiro e do jacuzzi. Apesar de o tempo ainda estar frio sentimo-nos sempre muito confortáveis com o bom funcionamento do ar condicionado e até acendemos a lareira fechada uma noite.  O anfitrião Nuno esteve 100% acessível remotamente e foi sempre espectacular. Sabendo que era a nossa lua-de-mel, deixou-nos de oferta uns mimos maravilhosos que foram a cereja no topo do bolo! Esperamos voltar um dia de preferência no verão para aproveitar a piscina com amigos ou família!

Espaço extraordinário. Limpo, luz natural. Recatado. Sossego absoluto

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le confort et l'équipement de la maison de même que la vue magnifique sur les collines à travers la grande baie vitrée de la salle à manger. Le paysage se renouvelle jour après jour et la lumière qui se reflète dans la piscine engendre volontiers une ambiance dorée, presque magique. Le logement est calme mais sans être trop isolé, les commodités se situant à quelques minutes en voiture. La visite régulière d'une maman chat et de ses chatons a égayé nos temps de tranquillité à la maison.

Concernant le logement lui-même, il est difficile d'imaginer que des améliorations puissent être possible car tout était parfait. En cherchant bien, peut-être y-a-t 'il quelque chose à arranger concernant la hotte de la cuisine car les supports des filtres ont tendance à se détacher ou à bloquer le déploiement. Sinon, il est vrai que le premier accès en voiture peut se révéler assez complexe car les rues alentours sont souvent très étroites et pentues mais avec l'expérience on y arrive très bien. Il ne faut pas se fier aveuglément au GPS et ne pas hésiter à prendre un itinéraire moins direct mais plus praticable.

A Casa dos Avós is a gorgeous house. We loved every minute of our stay there. The house is spacious, perfect for 2 families and kids. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the garden and pool are perfect for barbecuing and enjoying the lovely weather. It is close to restaurants and shops(10min with car). The area is beautiful, with lots of nice restaurants, walks, and wineries. We did not want to leave! Nuno is an amazing host, very helpful and responsive.

Wow, what can I say, such an incredible holiday enjoyed by my family, we didn’t want to leave! The house is absolutely beautiful, it was clean and exactly as we expected. The views are spectacular, with all the bedrooms enjoying an amazing view. The last morning we were there we watched the sunrise come up over the mountains, it was simply stunning. We were very comfortable for the entire stay, the beds are extremely comfy and I slept so well! The villa is entirely air conditioned which was lovely, as the weather was a balmy 30 degrees for the majority of our stay. There are comfy sofas in the lounge, and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for family meals without any problem. There is also a bbq area outside with a gazebo over it for total privacy, where we able to relax on sun loungers and enjoy the incredible views! The garden area is very well maintained and beautiful. The pool itself was so inviting, it isn’t heated but was a refreshing temperature to dip into and enjoy, the hot tub was also the perfect temperature and clean and really enjoyable. We actually got a chance to meet Nuno when he pre-arranged to stop by to check on the pools and hot tub. He was a delight to meet, is fluent in English and extremely helpful and kind. The location is very rural but we absolutely loved it. From here you have a bit of a drive to get to Porto and the coastline (which is a necessity if you want to explore the area). We hired a car and my husband did all the driving which he didn’t mind at all and it gave him a bit of a challenge! Note… driving the narrow and steep roads here takes some skill! The outside area is very quiet and private even though there are many houses around - you are only aware of them from the sound of dogs which you get used to. We would often walk in the evenings in the local area and be joined by a friendly dog who would tag along!

The property was pristine! Everything was perfect, clean and very comfortable. The pool and the jacuzzi were our favourite parts of the house. You have everything you need there. The host Nuno was also amazing and accommodating
