El Drago Rural House

We loved the house and the view. The locstion for exploring La Gomera was great!

Widok epicki, dom bardzo komfortowy, duży z pięknym tarasem i ogrodem . Wyposażony we wszystko co trzeba. Bardzo intymne, piękne miejsce . Doskonale na wypady trekingowe. Od domku kilometr jest miasteczko ze sklepem, dobra kawa i smacznym jedzeniem. Obok domu parking. Bardzo bardzo polecam!

This house is very special! I loved the rustic and isolation feeling, it was so restful. The outdoor space is big and well equipped for barbecues or simply a dinner overlooking the ocean. Inside you have a well equipped kitchen (a bit old fashioned but everything was in working order, we did cook dinner ourselves every night), 2 bedrooms (2 single beds and one double bed), a living room, and 1.5 bathrooms. Everything looked as if it was thought for big groups (big pots and pans, big washing machine, a nice dishwasher!) but we felt comfy in our 3-people group. There is heating for those cold evenings. The double bed was extremely comfy and we slept well! Parking is big and straightforward (a relief compared to other locations in the island). Special mention to the english tea that was left in the kitchen, that was the real stuff! (maybe left by previous guests).

The 2 single beds room smelled of old tobacco. There was not a lot of shampoo provided (we had brought our own). It was absolutely not the fault of the host but the road between the house and the Garajonay park was cut due to a landslide. This means that, although geographically the house is very close to the park, you actually have to go all around by the airport and Playa Santiago then up again before you reach the park. This adds a good 35min drive each way to your day! (hopefully this is not going to be for long)

El Drago is prachtig en sfeervol ingericht en gedecoreerd. Het is een authentieke oud huis en ook de keukenapparaten was wat gedateerd (broodrooster waterkoker). Er lagen basisproducten, zoals koffie thee, vaatwasmiddel en keukendoeken. Fijne douche in huis en via buitendeur naar 2e badkamer met ligbad.  Het bed met een fijn dekbed lag goed en voldoende kastruimte. Erg prettig om een was te draaien, wasmiddel is aanwezig.  Het ligt op ruim 800m hoogte en het was erg fris. Met kacheltjes aangenaam binnen kunnen verwarmen.  De tuin en terras buiten zijn geweldig met tafel stoel en ligbedden en met prachtig uitzicht. Helaas gezien het weer niet veel van kunnen genieten.  In het nabijgelegen Alejeró 2x lekker gegeten bij basic restaurant La Vega Food House (echte kip steak garnalen) op gezellig pleintje.

Great old house with fireplace and huge terrace.

The house is at 900 m altitude, so can get chilly in winter. Lots of heaters and fireplaces to counter this though.
