Very beautiful property, convenient location outside of Cork/close to Midleton

Might not be a good fit if you’re not into insects or spiders. Bees were swarming and establishing hives in the rafters outside the rooms, resulting in me getting stung walking into the room during check in. Room and bathroom had multiple spiders inside. WiFi advertised as good, but weak signal (only one bar) in our room that frequently disconnected.

Unique property, quirky in a nice way. The bed was so comfortable. Very clean and well decorated.

The setting was amazing and the quirkiness of the rooms led to a fantastic break away from home. The hostess handled all things with professionalism.

Unbelievable value and the room is so chique and bougée. Proper Nespresso machine along with an ironing board and iron.

We liked the location, the winding and tree lined approach driveway, the layout of fore courts at each level, the desk in reception, the dressing table in our room number 6. The bathroom/ shower room WHB & WC rather modern and swish. Nicely tiled. Surprised by accomodation for 5 people sleeping in this room. We need space for two only, bed was comfortable . Window shutters rather nice functional also. Accessibility was good for me I'm not good on my feet and walking. Room was warm. Room was quite. Parking good. Receptionist thorough, friendly and informative. We are so impressed by Geraldine Kidd's achievement we want an appointment, we didn't ask. However now want to come back for that reason alone. Amazing achievements and breadth of interes, please allow us an audience! Sometime. We would like to return, Ballycotten is a gem we have only discovered. Thank you.

We liked everything. There is a lag on hot water arriving at the tap. There is an ergonomic difficulty filling the coffee machine water container from the bathroom. We didn't try the kettle.

Diese Anlage ist etwas ganz Besonderes, da es durch tausend Kleinigkeiten besticht und sich von allem, was ich bisher gesehen habe, unterscheidet. Vielleicht wirkt das eine oder andere etwas improvisiert, doch das Gesamtkonzept ist einfach toll und stimmig. Wir haben den Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen und haben einen super Tipp fürs Dinner bekommen, da es vor Ort leider kein Essen gab, was wir aufgrund des tollen Ambientes dort, überhaupt nicht schlimm fanden. Das Frühstück im Hotel in dem tollen Zimmer im Haupthaus und das liebevolle Arrangement waren einfach super lecker und sehr ansprechend. Für Paare, die nach Romantik suchen, ein perfekter Ort, aber auch für alle anderen definitiv ein Plätzchen, an dem man dem irischen Glauben an Elfen und Zauberwesen ein Stück näher ist.
