Hotel Rural & Spa Can Curreu

Absolutely amazing place where everything on the menu was just great. The ambience was wonderful and the staff lovely. Highlights were the strawberry tartare and the catch of the day. Very beautiful and the perfect romantic place. Highly recommended!

We arrived for four nights peace and quiet to find a ‘special event’ was taking place, a wedding for 150 in the restaurant/swimming pool / bar area ! No apology or pre warning so that night we were forced to go out ( or join the wedding). Loud music etc until midnight ! Guess what two days later another ‘special event’ yes another wedding this time starting at 6pm until late for about 60 ! So two nights out of our four with no mention from any staff or management - not sure we saw any management- definitely not the rural retreat we wanted. Don’t expect a private room, we were in number 4, everyone who walked past could see straight into our bedroom and over our terrace. We had to shut the door, no windows apart from the door! Missed the open fresh environment that Ibiza offers. Although the breakfast was good and served well, and the gardens beautiful, the poor customer service and mis advertising will not draw us back here- too many other great places to go. It’s not a rural retreat lm afraid, maybe a wedding venue!

The hotel and grounds are so beautiful. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Nicely decorated and stocked with plates, silverware and wine glasses, incase you feel like eating a drinking in your room. The location is very far removed from the city but conveniently located to the hippie market. We have friends who on a condo in the are so we did not eat at the restaurant nor did we use the pool or spa. We truly loved the hotel and the island so much we stayed for another 2 nights. Really loved this hotel and will stay here again.

We were not indoor guest of this hotel but we came for spa and this was really good .. I been two year ago in summer but this time in winter and it was super hot water and enjoy lot ….. some amenities are missing in toilette after spa , and hairdryer is not up to the mark, but rest of all was excellent experience.

Sometimes you are at a place that comes close to heaven… and Can Curreu is such a place. I think the best part is the amazing staff: super service, always with a smile: nothing too much, everything possible and we felt treated like royalty. Then our suite (nr 14): was our home away from home: very spacious, luxurious in every aspect, with a warm ambiance, great fireplace, large bathroom, very high quality bed, bed linen and towels and great private terrace with wonderful views. We had massages every day at the beautiful and very clean spa and also here everything was just perfect. We are very much spoilt for choice when it comes to massages and found our masseuses very, very good and professional. The restaurant where we had 2 dinners and 1 lunch is gastronomic and with lovely decor and again, such wonderful staff! We have fallen in love with this little paradise and will try to come back! @Luis and @Christina: thank you for making our stay so special! NB: please also go and have dinner at Estel restaurant at Santa Eulalia del rio… an absolute must.

I genuinely can’t fault this hotel. We have been on holiday in Ibiza and have stayed in 2 hotels on different locations on the island. The other hotel we stayed in was supposed to be the best on the island and 5 star, it was far from it. Can curreu however was absolutely beautiful. If you’re going to Ibiza you must stay here. Can curreu was by far my favourite hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledge. All the menus including breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service and children’s had lots of choice and very reasonably priced. The cocktails were absolutely delicious. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a full body massage in the spa which was incredible. The lady was very kind and friendly. One of the best massages I’ve had. The room service was prompt and the menu had lots of choice. They tidied away quickly too. The on-site horse riding was really great fun and we enjoyed the hippy market on Friday evenings just down the road. There are great local bars, shops and cafes. All of the facilities felt clean and very covid safe. Staff wore face masks and I saw them cleaning areas often. Lots of hand sanitizer provided also. My room was cleaned every day and the house keeping did a beautiful job. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel is fabulous for families, couples or solo travellers. I felt really relaxed and would absolutely return.

Pros: - Restaurant was really great. Food was delicious and service was kind. - Most if the rooms are villa style: in which they are separate one from another, so in this Covid times, you don’t need to share elevators or entrances with other guests. You have exterior access to your room. - There are not many rooms which is great because you don’t see many people around you. CONS: - Front desk really needs to improve. I have always said that the front desk people can elevate or make your experience not a memorable one. Well, I called weeks in advance to ask for restaurant recommendations and things to do. They recommended a few restaurants but to my surprise all of them were inside the mountain (no view, no sea, nothing special). When I got there I asked the same lady about other places that I learned were the staples in ibiza and she knew all of them, but of course it was too late to make any reservations. Also, in a few other activities and reservations she said she was going to help us book, she never called back to confirm or say anything. So, bottom of the story, they couldn’t do ANYTHING to help us book anything in the island. - Zero flexibility with check in time. After a LONG trip, we showed up at noon and had to wait until 2PM to have our room. - They had a few families with kids, so the crying was a bit tired some.

This hotel is located in the Northern, more quiet part of the island, on a beautiful estate. The rooms and public spaces are spotlessly clean, and our hotel room (suite) was very comfortable and spacious. Every room is different, and tastefully decorated. There is an onsite spa, fitness center and outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is just up the street (walking distance) from the Las Dalias Night Market, and it was wonderful being able to stroll through the market, do some shopping, have a glass of wine and stroll back to the hotel without having to drive and park. The breakfast was sufficient but rather basic, since there was no buffet and everything had to be ordered off a fairly basic breakfast menu. Given the high room rates, the breakfast was a somewhat underwhelming experience. We also had lunch one day at the same restaurant, which was very good with a much better choice of salads and lunch entrees, but again the prices were quite high compared to comparable restaurants in the general area.
