Casa vivencial Mamá Vivi

Our stay at Casa Vivencial Mama Vivi was truly unforgettable. The family was incredibly welcoming, and we had the chance to experience everyday life in the community in a very genuine way. It’s a perfect place to relax, with beautiful nature all around, thermal baths nearby, and plenty of small hikes to enjoy. Our young daughter especially loved helping feed the baby alpacas and joining in the activities with the family. The homemade meals were delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful stay full of cultural experiences and local warmth, this is the perfect choice in the Colca region.

We spent a wonderful 5 days here and enjoyed every minute. The accommodation is in a converted farmhouse in the village, so it is simple but very cosy and beautifully decorated with traditional fabrics and artwork by the family. The views around the farm are stunning. Mama Vivi and Juan are exceptional hosts. They welcomed us like family and put a huge effort into making our stay special. We visited their animals, Colca Canyon, the hot springs nearby, took walks to local landmarks and Juan even accompanied us into Chivay to help us get some shopping and bus tickets. Mama Vivi cooked hearty, tasty food that was perfect for our family. We were sorry to leave and will treasure our time with Mama Vivi and Juan.

I loved my experience at Mama vivis. They take good care of you when you stay there and help to organize excursions. Loved the hot pools and the authentic rural experience. There's no wifi, but I got very good mobile data reception with claro. They cook you very good (to large for me) meals for an additional but reasonable charge.

Everything was good. Only thing is each bedroom needs a rubbish bin.
