Allt var bra!

Well kept guesthouse in small village. Room is good size and comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming.

We really liked the quiet country atmosphere and taking walks in the village and farmland nearby. The hosts were very welcoming and informative. Nothing is too far away in Saaremaa, so it's just a short drive to interesting sites, but it feels very remote at the guesthouse. The beds were very comfortable, and the screen in the window meant that you could enjoy the evening breezes without mosquitoes. The main house is beautiful, with a traditional thatched roof. There is also a memorial to Johannes Aavik, a philologist who was born at the location (which is now called "Aavik's Corner").

The basic summer kitchen is a convenient way for guests to store food in the fridge and prepare simple meals, with barbecue grills also available. We really liked this. One or two more pots and pans and a couple of utensils could add to its usefulness, for example a large pot for boiling pasta or potatoes.

Host was very friendly and helpful. Place was clean and fresh.

Shared toilet/shower was a bit complicated. Travel forth and back to marina was quite expensive.

This was our second time at Aavikunurga and we hope we can go back again! We just love it there, the house is everything I want from a place in Saaremaa and as a huge plus there's the incredible breakfast!
