Casa Cerro da Correia

Our hosts met us when we arrived and have everything set out for us about the area and the property. Property is a fantastic location sitting up on the mountain looking down the valley across manteigas. Our family really enjoyed the stay with plenty of rooms and beds for all. The house has everything you need from fireplaces, showers and bathrooms, dinning...Plus games and books for the children. Our kids really enjoyed it. A perfect home for our little family for the weekend. Plus the hosts cant do enough for you so if you need anything you can whats app them and equally if you dont need anything and just want the privacy then you have all you need. :)

Miguel e Inés son muy agradables y nos ayudaron con mucha información de la zona. La casa es tranquila y en medio del bosque. Las vistas son impresionantes y la terraza es un bueno sitio para contemplarlas. Un casa espaciosa con todo lo necesario. La ubicación buena también. Hay un sendero y un camino asfaltado para bajar andando a Manteigas.

Very beautyful area. Magnificient hike trails. Cosy house, lovely owners who are very helpful. They know the area very well and share their knowledge if appreciated.

I would like to thank the owners of this beautiful house! 1. The house is very clean. There is cleanliness in every corner and cupboard. This is very important. It's not just in the obvious places, but also in the most hidden nooks. 2. The owners are very friendly towards dogs (we have three), which is great! Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in cafes in the city, but the house owners are wonderful; they allow pets to stay in the house. 3. The house is very warm and dry. There is a wonderful fireplace with excellent draft. On the second floor, there is a device that maintains warmth 24/7. There are also heaters, but they are not needed since the house is well-heated. This is fantastic! Extra points for that. 4. It's great that the toilet and kitchen on the first floor are serviced by a water heater. There is a separate heating tank on the second floor, meaning each floor has its own utilities. 5. The house is located in a very beautiful area with a lovely view. 6. The owners respond promptly to all requests, are polite, and always try to help. As a compliment, we were greeted with fresh bread and jam. Our rating: 10 out of 10. 1. It would be nice to have more light outside. There is some lighting, but walking with the dogs was a bit problematic. There are hills and cliffs. We had to use the flashlight on our phones. It's not critical at all, but if possible, it would be great to add more outdoor lighting. 2. A barrier on the stairs for pets and children. There was a barrier in the house, but unfortunately, it was difficult to install and looked unreliable. According to safety regulations, the barrier should be placed at the bottom at the very start of the stairs. If possible, it would be great to install a new gate at the bottom of the stairs for small children and pets to keep them safe and prevent them from climbing the stairs.

Location is very convenient, house is well maintained, the hosts are beyond the best. They are very welcoming, gave us a lot of useful information, answered all the questions very fast, met us with homemade sweets that was lovely. Despite unexpectedly cold weather we felt very comfortable in the house. The bed linen was made of fleece and there were heaters in each room and bathroom. There’s enough space for everything and everybody.

It was a little bit difficult for me to manage the fire place but with the help of hosts I managed to keep it working and enjoyed it very much.

The house is very spacious and cozy. The hosts were super kind and available to provide suggestions and things to do around Manteigas. We enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect!
