Woody Cabana

La situation sur les hauteurs de Uppuveli, au calme. La terrasse panoramique habillée de bois et de plantes. Le petit déjeuner local et très bon.

La chambre type cabane est très sombre, pas très grande et on se sent un peu à l'étroit ... Nous étions dans la seconde près de l'accueil et ce n'était pas très intime. Pour 4 nuits, nous aurions préféré la 1ere ou la 3eme, au fond.

L'emplacement, comme beaucoup d'autres hébergements : la proximité de la plage. Accessible à pied, par un chemin de terre défoncé. La terrasse.

La chambre est une boîte en bois, très sombre. Une porte et une petite ouverture avec des barreaux comme "fenêtre". Pas de vitre, donc il faut rester dans le noir si on veut se protéger de la chaleur et des moustiques. Les claustrophobes doivent s'abstenir. Petit déjeuner très simple : une boisson chaude, 3 galettes et des bananes. Ce qui n'est pas habituel au Sri-Lanka.

My stay at Woody cabana was amazing! The place is confortable and clean and the manager is so lovely! He is willing to help you and organise whatever you need! The breakfast is delicious, you can rent motorbike from them and even do laundry.

Lovely garden area and short walk to beach and nice restaurants. Very helpful staff with delicious breakfast

You cannot open a window in the room, so it is very dark and you can sleep at any hour. The owners of the hotel are very nice, especially Sathiyaselan, who was exceptionally nice

The infrastructure in the room is not good. The shower is right on the toilet and everything gets wet when you shower. There is no hot water. There was a terrible smell of sewage and urine in the bathroom, especially during the shower. The interior of the room is made of plywood boards in a bad condition. The room itself is not very clean (to say the least) There is a very nice view upstairs, but the view from the balcony of the room is well hidden. When I opened the suitcase I found a cute cockroach there. At night, rats (or other animals) run around inside the roof. It was very unpleasant. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away and you have to take a shuttle to the city. In booking it days that there is a restaurant in the hotel, but there is not. You can order food, but no restaurant. Price is quite high related to the area. Very dissapointing
