Hewletts Mill

The room was beautifully furnished with lovely throws and cushions, the bed was extremely comfortable with fresh, good quality linen. It had a good sized bathroom with a shower/bath. The Internet worked very well and a nice touch was a free bottle of local cider to drink or take home. There was access to a ‘help yourself’ bar area on the 1st floor if you wanted to have a drink before going out. Great breakfast served by Guy at a huge dining table in the main hall. The usual choice of cereal, yummy sourdough toast, croissants, fresh fruit/rhubarb and ginger compote and yoghurt, followed by a hearty cooked breakfast (several choices available, chosen the night before). Communication with Cindy and Guy was great, they sent through lots of information to help with our stay and arrival, suggestions for local restaurants, taxis etc. The house and gardens are absolutely stunning. So much to look at and experience. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy the grounds and swimming pool.

Unique venue with exceptional facilities, the owners went out of their way to welcome and make us comfortable.

perfect for a little getaway. friendly owners including the 2 dogs. we were fortunate to get decent weather which meant we got to use the swimming pool which was lovely.
