Location and serenity

Loved the location and convenience. Would be nice for bigger groups but we just had 2 people. Only 15 min drive to Hobbiton.

This would be a 10/10 stay for me if a few things were updated: there wasn't a garbage bin in the bathroom, so we had to keep running trash over to the kitchen if we blew our noses, etc. There were no tissue boxes in the unit, which is a small thing but would've been nice. The worst complaint I have is about the towels: I think they were air dried, rained on, and dried again or something because the texture was crunchy and not soft at all. If they got a trash bin in the bathroom, rose boxes in the bedrooms/living room, and softer towels, I would have loved this place. Still a great stay though!

The views are amazing, it feels remote from everything, however it’s so close to Matamata. It’s very relaxing there with all the facilities we needed for our one night stay. The interior was modern and inviting.

No storage was available in the rooms, however that was ok because we were there for one night. The lounge and kitchen size were ok for 4 of us for one night stay, but might feel small if staying longer and with more people.

We love the cottage - the farm lifestyle - waking up with the cows mooing… the fresh air… the sunrise!

The body soap in the bottle was not sufficient for us. But maybe we just didn’t find the refill.

The location was ideal handy to town and the Walton Golf Course.
