Location is wonderful, across from a beautiful park. Very nice, helpful people working at the hotel.

Bathroom wasn’t clean, bed was hard, small pillows, no hair dryer.

Be careful to chose one person if traveling alone. The breakfast is included & there is a price difference which they will not refund. I would have preferred an option to include breakfast or not. The breakfast is very basic. One of the days the coffee machine had spoiled milk in it . Hard to find the entrance which is hidden in the back. Rare that there is any staff at the front desk & when there is, they are not helpful. Individual packets of shampoo need scissors to open. Shower only has handheld sprayer. Room had a musty dirty smell.

Difficult to find reception as there are two buildings next door to each other. Sign says Barquinha River House and Nature House on tje mai road where Google maps take you.All doors locked ,rang bell and first time it was answered then put down.Eventualky someone appeared at the adjacent building which is the back entrance.There is a reception sign on this building but no indication which business it was for.Receptionist spoke zero English and didn't understand my Portuguese. Mop bucket and mop in foyer.Given key and had to ask where the room was.When I opened the door there was a strong smell such as when a dirty mop is used.I asked if reception had an airfreshener because the room smelled bad -no response.Anyway having found the carpark and parked up,I went out.That evening I discovered the shower did not drain,and there was no WiFi.The room also looked in need of redecoration.All in all this was very disappointing at the price,and the reception was never manned to mention these issues.
